I am passionate about helping all citizens realize dreams — and doing that requires shoring up the foundations of our country and our Commonwealth. I believe that our prosperity requires respect for the US and Virginia Constitutions, law, and each other.

I’m a problem solver and a bridge builder with experience relevant to both rural and suburban residents of District 72. I bring a fresh non-political perspective and decades of solving complex problems involving a lot people from different walks of life.

I have been a farmer, an engineer, a military officer, a business owner, and a pilot. I have been extraordinarily blessed with so many opportunities. Being willing to tackle big problems gave me many of those opportunities. I helped deploy the Hubble Space Telescope and forced major changes in the F-35 fighter program that saved taxpayers over a billion dollars, to name just two of many. I am comfortable in aircraft cockpits, Space Shuttle Mission Control, and conference rooms where billions of taxpayer dollars are on the line.

Some people talk a good game about eliminating government fraud, waste, and abuse–but I’ve actually done it.
